suckmy12inchOr as we in England say... a rant. *le sigh* Well, you might know I'm a member of this great forum, Devil's Lair. I've been a member for over a year now and everytime I log in there's guaranteed to be something that'll make me laugh. (Yo, can you guess what the subject of my rant is yet?) It's a cool place and many of the members on there, including some GEMS such as... Voluptuous VeiraV10, Laudable Lithium, Magnificent MaroAlighieri, the, uh, Vaudevillian Vergil... can you tell I'm outta adjectives? LULZ. Oh I'm getting off topic here...
Anyways, DL is full of great people and a fun place to post. But then you get the total jerks who make you want to tear out your hair (or someone else's hair). I'm saying this here because I'd prefer not to start a stupid argument on the forum itself. Anyone got an issue with me, they're free to takae it up here. RAWR.
Today my most hated jerk is DouBleBarrel, although QBasic kinda ticks me off too. (Remember, this is MY journal, MY rant, MAH OPINION.) They use a ridiculous amount of profane language which frankly just isn't necessary. I swear but I don't make every other word in my sentence "shit, fuck, bastard, cunt, cum" or other such niceties. After a while your mind's trying to sift through it all and it just hurts my head. Fo sho'.
Another problem I have with some people (mainly QBasic) is that their immediate response to anyone saying 'Hang on, that was a bit OTT, y'know?' is something like "Freedom of speech. Pwnzors." Or whatever. But jeez, the rules! Lookit the freaking rules! Why are such idiots swearing at other members?! Why do they feel the need to insult and make fun of other opinions and generally say pointless shit? Example:

Apart from the terrible grammar... WTF?! I guess DoBa finds this crap amusing. Oh yeah, another bone to pick with DoBa. Random titles. Such as:
OMG! I SHITTED MY PANTS AS I ROBBED YOU!
JOING DoBanieism
Awful, rubbish, just... argh, it winds me up. Tell the truth, this is why I avoided DL for a little while but it seems to have gotten worse. But, with good people still on there, maybe I can ride it out. Afterall, it's just teh internetz... and yeah, I ran outta steam. Still pissed though.

It's part of my responsibility to ensure that the good members, such as yourself, aren't driven away by the assholes. The more feedback I get about problems at DL, the more ammunition I have to do something about it.
Seriously, I feel like a babysitter most of the times I log in these days. It's not ok.
