Day 29 - A game you thought you wouldn’t like, but ended up loving.

Resident Evil: Dead Aim, actually. It's surprisingly fun, even with the graphics being terrible and the voice acting leaving a lot to be desired - also what's with the subtitles being completely mismatched with what's actually being said? Anyway, the gameplay isn't too bad, and it seems that the style of play in Revelations will be similar, so maybe it'll a bonus.

Ampharos wrecks shit. Mine was a girl named Yue and she kicked ass in the Elite 4 for me and is generally the highest level pokemon in my party because she's just so badass.

Day 27 - Most epic scene ever.

PROBABLY SPOILERS HERE

...Oh, man, I can think of a lot for this one. There's that moment in Shadow of the Colossus when you're travelling to find the very last Colossus and in the distance you see some massive... tower, and you might think, "It's at the top of that, right?" But then you get closer and you realise you are oh so wrong. The Colossus IS that whole damn tower. And you just have this moment of "OH SHI-" dawning on you as you realise you are supposed to kill that thing.

I always massively enjoy the scene in DMC3 when Vergil shows up to help Dante against Arkham because they're finally doing what brothers should do and working together even if it goes to shit barely ten minutes later :(. Relatedly, in DMC1 when Mundus is about to shoot laser eye things at Dante, after having just killed Trish, and Dante deflects that shit and his eyes are GLOWING RED FUCK YEAH, and you can see that this really is the Son of Sparda - THAT'S A COOL MOMENT TOO.

Metal Gear Solid 2, crashing into that big building the name of which escapes me I'M NOT AMERICAN SO I CAN'T REMEMBER AND I'M A BAD MGS FAN, SUE ME don't actually sue me and you're standing atop that wreckage, that was pretty badass until Solidus busted in with his speech and the AI won't get off your CODEC and you end up wanting to yell LET ME PLAY THE GAME NOW. But MGS3 topped that with the Boss in the field of flowers and I can already feel myself wanting to cry just thinking about that :( :( :( :( :( also that corridor in MGS4 and when Johnny and Meryl team up and so cute forever ;;

Day 22 - A game sequel which disappointed you.

Devil May Cry 4. Aside from the lack of Vergil, parts of it were just so unsinpired. Capcom, you must be aware that backtracking is irritating most of the time and the way DMC4 do it, painfully boring and just UGH. I never particularly clicked with Nero as a protagonist either whiny little kid and what was with the sudden copious amounts of TITS? Did you guys just figure out the jiggle physics?

Oh yeah. And that dice game.

Hm... not sure. I'll give most kinds of games a go, no matter what they are. As long as I can play it and I enjoy the characters/plot, then the genre itself doesn't bother me. I guess I'm more inclined towards action-y games. Hack and slash stuff, like DMC and Prince of Persia.

UHHHHHH I think everyone should play Shadow of the Colossus and Okami. Man, I have no idea, ahaha. If I think a friend or someone should play a game, I make them sit down and play it either with me or I lend them the game or whatever.

Day 10 - Best gameplay.

...Well, that's a broad question, isn't it? Depends what you're looking for and what kind of games you play. So let's see.

I'm fond of RE5 and most of the RE games, actually, they do a good job of creating suspense but my issue with them is the goddamn camera angles which are generally absolutely hideous. That goes for DMC a lot of the time as well, though they mostly fixed that in 3 and 4. Speaking of, 3 is a bloody fantastic game to play. Revolutionised what DMC1 introduced, with multiple weapons that could be easily changed, and the Style system. DMC4 would be up there as well if Capcom hadn't made me hate them with all the FUCKING BACKTRACKING and the FUCKING DICE GAME. Sorry, man, Nero's Devil Bringer added an interesting and fun element but FUCK your level design.

Okami and its paintbrush were pretty fun to use...

Day 7 - Favorite game couple.

Stop asking me things I don't really think about too much. First couple that springs to mind is Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine, especially thanks to RE5, and the way that we see Chris just never giving up on Jill, however hopeless the situation may have seemed. It's adorable and heartwarming and heartbreaking too 8( especially when you realise that Jill knew exactly what she was doing but she couldn't stop herself hurting him.

AND YEAH OKAY MAYBE I SHIP WESKER/BIRKIN A TINY LITTLE BIT BYWHICHIMEANALOT shut up with your judging eyes that I might just be imagining. It's far more preferable to Wesker/anyone, unless it's a truly fucked up relationship, why do I keep seeing really odd Wesker/Claire fiction where Wesker's a sane person what is that I'll tell you what it is - a lie
