Day 6 - Most annoying character.

Oh, er... Lady in DMC3 used to piss me off pretty badly because she was SO ANGRY but I'm over that now. I'm actually fairly fond of Steve from Code: Veronica... (okay his voice grates but whatever I can get over it). Man, I might just have to say Ashley Graham, obvious as that is (LEONNNNN, HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP no fuck you shut up). Also, Ada Wong kind of... pisses me off too, ahahaha OKAY ADA JUST FUCK YOU AND YOUR ~TRICKY~ WAYS Wesker had a goddamn satellite watching everything do you really think you got away with that shit

Day 3 - A game that is underrated.

Umm. Hm. I think Shadow of Destiny/Memories and Fahrenheit are two games that get overlooked a lot which I believe is a real shame.

SoM (it was Memories over here, I'm sure) was actually a fairly short, sort of adventure/puzzle game, more of a point and click kind of game than anything else. It's on the PS2 and the graphics are passable and most of the time it's a fairly simple game. But the real genius of it is in the story. It's not a game you play once. You have to replay it, several times, to really find out what the hell is going on. It has several endings and you have to see them all to really make sense of anything. It's sometimes the smallest things that make a difference and I think it's one of the few games that gets anywhere near capturing that "every decision has a consequence" sort of thing. It's not perfect, but it does a good job and MORE PEOPLE SHOULD PLAY IT. Or read the LP of it on the Let's Play Archive. Also there's time travel. My icon is from the game.

Now, Fahrenheit, also known as Indigo Prophecy in the States... similar concept in some ways, making decisions, very much story-oriented. I was about to say there's no time travel but... there is. ANYWAY the plot of the game is that you're working to solve a murder, and you play as three main characters (and a fourth minor character but that's for like one part of the game). The twist is that one of these characters, Lucas, is the guy who committed the murder - except he knows it wasn't him, he was possessed at the time and his goal is to find out who did this to him and why. Behind the story, there are a lot of pretty mundane things you can do: drink coffee, take medicine, all that stuff. There are also action sequences that are basically quicktime events too. You hold conversations with characters by use of these dialogue trees, I'm sure you know the sot of thing. The plot sort of goes a bit haywire towards the end and though there are multiple endings, they're mostly fairly similar.

Very VERY quick overviews of those games because I've gotta get to my Latin class, but if you ever get a chance to try out either game, I recommend them.

So I've got No More Heroes 2 now (found it pre-owned for £14.99 and used the last of my GAME vouchers to buy it), and the first thing I hear is Roy Campbell telling me about REVENGE and Travis Touchdown's Desperate Struggle. ...Okay, it obviously wasn't literally Campbell but I couldn't help snrking when I heard his voice. Skelter Helter sounded familiar, from Peace Walker, looks like. ...And looking at NMH2's imdb entry, it's just full of MGS voice actors.

Also, I notice that I get to have real blood instead of black pixels.

Oh, in other news? A-level results tomorrow. Kind of scared shitless. Had a dream where I got a C in Latin - more of a nightmare, really, ugh. We'll see how it goes.

I made a very short start on Peace Walker today. Unfortunately, I started not long before going out for a birthday meal (they gave me my dessert for free), so I had to stop.

...I like it so far, though, and I love that Kaz is Travis Touchdown. That's about all I've taken away from it at the moment.

BUT I also made a start on Bioshock, killed Steinman, and I've been... very impressed. Not quite blown away but close to it! And now I have far too many games to play and complete.

It's been a good 18th.

Other than that, not - OH wait lmao, I was playing RE4 last night and made a right idiot of myself getting killed by Krauser twice because I was checking Plurk instead of playing and then I got killed by the goddamn lasers. Also, I am still pretty good at DMC3. SSSTLYLISH~ Also, also! I snuck up on that one regenerator, I was so impressed with myself. The eyes are so horrible.

Oh, yeah, Sarah, I added you on Plurk, though I know you don't use it, lmao.

And pffffft, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories comes out on the 5th March. I want it, you get to colour stuff in.
